Alyssa Bothel

Dr. Alyssa Bothel is excited to return to Chisholm Ridge Pet Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian. Before attending veterinary school, she volunteered and worked at the hospital as a veterinary assistant, making her return especially meaningful. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. 

Dr. Bothel has a passion for internal medicine and surgery, with a strong interest in diagnostic ultrasonography. She enjoys the challenge of complex medical cases and is committed to providing exceptional patient care while building lasting relationships with clients. Helping pets live healthier, happier lives and continuing to grow as a clinician are among her greatest professional priorities. 

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Bothel and her husband, Matthew, share their home with three beloved pets: Opal (“Gator”), a playful boxer mix; Juniper (“Bug”), an energetic bully breed; and Luci (“Goose”), a quirky calico cat. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, weightlifting, traveling, reading, and exploring new varieties of tea.
